The Mound City National Cemetery Preservation Commission, Inc., welcomes the donation of items of historical interest for exhibit in the Superintendent's Lodge. Our interests include items that may have once belonged to veterans interred in the cemetery, including photographs, medals, flags, uniforms, letters, maps, hats, helmets - just about anything.
We're also interested in general southern Illinois history with a focus on Mound City and southernmost Illinois during the Civil War.
We're unable to accept items that may require more than one person to carry - or objects too large to fit in the Superintendent's Lodge. We're also unable to provide any kind of apprasial of items that may be donated to us.
The Mound City National Cemetery Preservation Commission is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, chartiable organization. Monetary donations are also welcome to help us maintain the Superintendent's Lodge.
