Memorial Day Observance
We observe Memorial Day on the Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend - everyone is welcome.
The ceremony begins at 10 o'clock and includes the Call to Order, Presentation of Colors, Laying of the Wreaths, and the Roll Call of Honorees. The ceremony also includes a guest speaker and music.
The Mound City National Cemetery Memorial ceremony is among the oldest in the region and dates to the years right after the Civil War.
